i am beyond excited considering I've been training for weeks and this weekend is supposed to be nice n dry here in Portland so that means Alpenrose here i come.
Considering this will be my first time, I was just curious what would you recommend bringing for my first time at the track? Any etiquette i should know about?
Also night before routine and morning routine? No drinking tonight and bed early right? hah
And right now I'm going to use my Mercier basically stock and have been looking for a good track/city riding wheelset. I've been thinking Mavic Open Pros with double fixed Miche hubs (one cog for street/other for track).
Any other suggestions in the 300-400 dollar range?
Thank you very much and i hope to get some responses back.

I don't think you'll find anyone at the track, except for maybe the older woman that knits in the sun out there. I'll probably head out for a bit on Sunday if it stays dry.
I was wondering if turn 3 has actually dried out. The paint kinda soaks up the water, so it's a bit squishy/slippery where the sun doesn't hit it. There are also a couple of mossy spots to watch out for on the high side.
The track cleanup probably won't happen until March or April. Then you can come out for the Wednesday night classes. Hope to see you out there.

Once you start you can't stop.
Ooo its open.
I cant wait to give the track a try. Are there going to be the intro classes one Weds again this year? They arent marked on OBRAs calendar. Is a class completely necessary?
The clean up however is scheduled for 3/19.
I have to ride out to Beaverton tomorrow, maybe I will detour over to Alpenrose if it is nice out.
