Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Great Vik thanks! dwnptrl -If that is the case, will definitely take the OMM rack and take my small chunk out of the Goat's carcass. Wow, that may have been a little too visual. Anyway, I can't send PM's, but I can recieve them. If you can PM me your email or phone or PayPal info, we can arrange payment if the OMM rack is still available.

I think my buddy wants the BD frame as well. We live in California, so it would need to be shipped. He would be willing to absorb the shipping cost, if you are willing. If you wouldn't mind could you look into what the shipping cost might be to 95926? If the OMM rack is available, it could all be shipped together to one spot. We can also provide a business adress to ship to if it is cheaper.
LOL at the shark reference too :D Yeah, feels weird. Like I said before, the Goat was kind of famous on these forums and elsewhere too.
It's like the circle of life... Man adopts Goat, raises Goat with Village, Man kills goat and feeds Village. Goat lives on.
I don't know what it is... I never felt bad about selling computers or computer parts or even photo equipment but I always felt bad when I had to sell a bike. It felt a bit better if I sold it whole and knew someone was riding it. It feels much worse if I have to take a bike apart as I did with my touring bike. Even though I wasn't 100% happy with it, I had some memories and it really made me sad that I had to take it apart. I wish I had the space to keep all my bikes.

Love that. Works for me, and lessens the sadness/guilt of taking apart what feels like a silent but loyal friend.

...and I think this Boxer Rebellion tune ("Caught By The Light") playing in the background adds to the room gloom. Need to fire up something more upbeat...

From what I'm estimating this morning, $125 should cover the shipping on the frame and two forks. If it's higher I'll eat it. The OMM rack should ship for $30 via USPS Priority, and I think it'd be best to ship that separately. I think. Not trying to jack the price on you, but I tried to ship an LHT frame + Nice Rack last year and got so frustrated trying to make it work that I just shipped 'em separately.
Let me know what you'd like to do, and thanks for the interest.

Wow! Sorry to hear you're letting the Goat go, but glad to see the donor parts will live on.
Looking forward to your future projects.

...which is a _____ , and will have its own build thread [in Utility?].
Which is a titanium Fatback with two wheelsets, one fat (Surly Larry tires front/rear) and one regular 29er. Won't live in the Utility threads here, but very likely to live on MTBR.com in the FatBikes section. Utilitarian? You bet, but not quite as utilitarian as the mighty Big Dummy.

UPDATE:
Just the frame and forks (2) are left to sell. And I'm leaving the Planet Bike Hardcore fenders attached.
Lowered the price: $350 for the frame/forks/fenders. +$125 to ship it.
For $400, I'll leave the Avid BB7 brakes attached to the frame.
Won't go lower than that. If no takers, I'll keep it and rebuild it someday... But I'd really like to move it. And very soon if possible.

Oh dear, the Goat is no more, that's life I guess. I've still got my own though, until I can afford a Chupacabra!

For those in Canada looking for magic tape, Princess Auto does a reasonable knockoff, called magic wrap, goes for about $7 for a 8 foot roll ( before stretching. )

Mmmm...you just linked to The Holy of Holies: The Great Chupacabra! Love that monster. It's like the alien Dr. Frankenstein of cargo bikes.
The Goat lives on... I won't name names, but she lives again, as we speak on separate coasts. All good.

The Goat frame and forks are SOLD.
Kinda strange to say that just now. But from what I hear, the Goat, while she was mine,
inspired a few folks to build their own Dummies. Good to know.
And as mentioned, the Goat lives on: the drivetrain and wheels went to Los Angeles, and the frame/forks are off to NYC.
Shine on you Crazy Dummies!
Dylan, over and out.

Seriously? The frame went to NYC?! Perhaps I'll see it one of these days! I was totally inspired by you and Vik, I said that before and I say that again :D I don't know how many times I've gone through this thread and I've downloaded most of your pictures!

Yeah, to the 5 boroughs it went. And glad I could help, Adam!
Dylan...post a picture of your new rig in this thread when you get her rolling so we can see the Goat's next incarnation.

Despite one person saying not to post any follow-ups... :(
...I've found a replacement for the Goat:

Looks pretty cool, though I have to agree with the review that the wheels look a bit small. I don't know what it would take to swap out the wheels with larger ones though. The first thought that went through my mind was getting that trailer and getting a body bag strapped to it with a mannequin inside. Leave the zipper pulled down a bit to show the face and see how long it would take before the cops were called

Great idea come Halloween!
That's correct! If you could find someone to dress up like a zombie and have them lay on that thing... then as people attempt to check it out, BOO! hahahaha
