Hello, folks. I'm living in the mountains of CO, near Steamboat Springs. I've had bad luck with bikes. I used to ride a Mongoose of some sort, and I wrecked that in a pretty good crash. Fortunately, I was ok. I had a Specialized Rockhopper when I went to college, and that got stolen, and I've been through two cheapo bikes since, and over time I lost patience for cycling, but I'm ready to get back into it. I haven't gotten a new ride yet, but I'm looking into cyclocross. I'm leaning toward a Kona Jake the Snake, but upgrading to a triple crankset because there are some steep roads and light trails around here and I'm not in the best of shape. I've always loved riding, but my frustrations got the better of me for a good two years, and I'm looking forward to getting back into it!

Hi TM, check out the regional forums and say hi to your neighbours. Doing some cyclocross should either kill you or get you in shape :D .

Welcome to BF!
