hi, my name is ryan williams.

i live with my wife, akari inoguchi, in new york city's lower manhattan. i am a software engineer and artist, and now cyclist!

i recently started cycling between my home and my art studio everyday; each day finding myself "needing" to get on my bike, which has become my very good friend.

i'm now planning to do a cycling tour in japan in april 2008, from osaka back to tokyo for my father in law's 60th birthday party. given i don't know anything about touring, and this will be my first, i need all the help i can get! bikeforums.net, according to a good friend of my who is a huge "bike geek", is "the place" to go to get all the information you need.

already i found so much on your forum! it's great to discover such a supportive and enthusiastic community!

THANK YOU!

Hi Ryan, your cycling tour sounds wonderful, especially combining it with your father-in-law's birthday :) .

The Touring forum folks should be able to give you some invaluable tips, and don't hesitate to ask questions.

Welcome to BF!
