They're very good. They have a heckuva reputation, and seem to always be on the cutting edge of technology, but still practicle for touring. Which model are you looking at? New or classic?

ive got 1 its from the 90's tho came with the old canter levaers on(lx) but am up grading the bike,but the frames seems to be a good 1

I got my 2007 Koga-Miyata Expression as a commuter bike without knowing too much about the company. I have in the meantime read quite a few extremely positive comments about their quality (frames and complete bikes). Sadly, the crummy exchange rate means that they have gove up 20% in price in the last few months at the shop where picked up mine (http://www.commuterbicycles.com/) in Santa Barbara, CA, but what goes around comes around...
