What would be the best pick up for me, iyo? I'm 6'1 and it'll be my first fixie.

Well the motobecane comes with 2 brakes out of the box. Got 1 for my son and he loves it. Everyone here likes the Kilo. But then you'll have to get brakes (doesnt come with them).

As far as quality and performance goes are these considered to be low-end bikes? If you can recommend something much better please do. My budget is 3-$500.

Cayne uno. I have the bike and tends to get lots of compliments from bike shop owners there really surprised by it. This product is distributed by J&B distributers. The brand is a "sun bicycles". You can visit online at www.sunbicycles.com to get some more specs.

As far as geometry its a mix between road and track (some define it as a relaxed track geometry. whatever that means.). I'm 6'1 and i have the 59 it fits me like a glove. You should get fitted though to be safe.

flip-flop hub, 2 brakes, decent black alex rims, bullhorns, pedals, toe clips and straps. You cant ask for more. Its a nice steel frame.

In total i think its about 480-550 depends on the shop you go to.

I've had it for over three month and the only thing i've changed is the lock ring and cog. ( i'd suggest the same)http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1366/1448607971_93af640e80.jpg

I'd go with that too actually. Don't know much about the frames. I'd be concerned about the frame size. I'd def. go to a bike shop and test out some 62's to be safe.

^^^^

Pick yourself up a decent cog and lockring though, and have a good mechanic install it.

Edit - If you're going to spent up to $500 get yourself a Pista.

Its not that heavy, I have to climb 3 stories with that bike at least twice a day and it doesn't bother me. I'm usually on the road anyways so i'd prefer a nice steel frame. If i had to ride 20 miles daily an aluminum in Miami's **** roads i'd go crazy feeling every bump. Thats just a matter of personal preferences though. I'd rather pay 480 for this over the hour, messenger, or kilo any day.

Just found this seems like a good deal http://miami.craigslist.org/bik/559838436.html

Aside from the motobecane coming with brakes, do any of the three have any advantage over each other? I have been looking for something to convert to single speed but am having a tough time finding something here in Vegas, CL stuff gets snapped up real quick. Thinking one of these options might be better in the long run.

Sidenote, I really like the leather look saddle and bar tape of that Canye.

All those bikes versus each other?

What about all those bikes versus me?

I'll fight em all.
