Hi. I just bought a used recumbent trike. I totally love it! I've never ridden a bike before.

Can you recommend a great hiking/biking book and/or map for Santa Rosa and Sonoma County in general?

Thanks!

Not a book, but this website is my favorite for finding hikes.

And this looks like a good resource for bike maps.

Oh and congrats on the new trike! Feel free to share some pictures of it. :D

Try Northern California Biking: 150 of the Best Road and Trail Rides (http://www.amazon.com/Foghorn-Outdoors-Northern-California-Biking/dp/1566914221/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1203279374&sr=1-16). It has maps, elevation profiles, and route sheets, and I've found it to be pretty accurate on the few rides I've done from it. The same author has written a bunch of books on NorCal hiking too.

Yes, I highly recommend the SoCo bike coalition map. I think you can get it at most bike shops. I bet they will have it at their booth downtown today at the big event.
