Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - Why won't it keep me logged in now??

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

What browser / OS are you running?
Do you connect to the IP address, bikeforums.net or www.bikeforums.net?
The cookie process did not change with the software upgrade, however, if you connect to the IP address, you will need new cookies. If DNS has updated at your location, and you can connect to the domain, you shouldnt have any problems / changes.

Win2K with IE6. Nothing has changed. Maybe I am somtimes going to "bikeforums.net" and sometimes to "www.bikeforums.net". Would that make a difference??

Well it seems to be working now either way I do it. Maybe I just needed to whine about it....LOL

More then likely, it was the DNS server update. Your address bar probly shows the domain name, not the IP. That change requires a new cookie to be set.
Yes, bikeforums.net uses different cookies then www.bikeforums.net.

Joe, I'm having a similiar problem. The banner at the top shows me as logged in and on line. But when I try to reply it tells me I have to register. Then when I go to the main page I am on line. The only thing I've found that fixes this is going out of BF then back in. This problem started this AM. Is the problem on my end?
After this happening several times I think I've found what causes it....hitting the "back arrow" in the upper tool bar.
