I have a creak in my fixed gear. I thought it was in the chainring/crank setup, or the chain, or somewhere. Then, I bought a set of wheels with bmx hubs and I put a freewheel on the back to run singlespeed. I switch wheels between bikes and every bike I run with the singlespeed set up is silent. Each bike with the fixed gear wheel creaks. The only difference is the wheels. Can the wheels creak? How? What can I do? The wheels have suzue promax hubs with rigida rims. I am not sure what the cog/lockring set up is or the spokes, they came with a used bike. Thanks for any insights.

It sounds like your spoke tension maybe low. This could be due to a poor build and/or them coming out of true. Feel with your fingers that all spokes are equally tight and compare the tension to another known good wheelset of the same size. If this is the problem it is best to have a shop fix it, if you don't have the tools or know how. If you mess with a wheel arbitrarly you can easily do a lot more harm than good.
Another possibilty is if your rims have eyelets, they could be sqeaking and there is nothing you can do about it.
