Advocacy & Safety - I need some ideas for an advocacy web site.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I've decided to combine two hobbies. I'm going to take my excess creative talents (such that are) and combine them with my passion for cycling. What kind of web site is missing from our cycling advocacy universe in your opinion?

In my web travels it seems to me that a site that that would act as a Directory of all the Cycling and Ped Advocacy Sites is missing. many sites have links to their favorite advocacy sites, but darn few attempt to cpature the richness of this topic area.

I'd do it sort of the way Yahoo organizes its directories, but with a better description, categorization and some minor editorializing on the quantity and quality of the content.

Many advocacy sites exist, but no one (that I know of) is doing a comprehensive directory. Is this a project worthy of effort? If not, what do you suggest?

I think it is a current gap. I would like to see a web site that acted as a conduit to other avocacy or any cycling related sites. If you categorize it by topic that would be cool.

There are a few:

Ken Kifer : http://www.kenkifer.com
Bicycling Life : http://www.bicyclinglife.com
Mass Bike : http://www.massbike.org
Citizens for Safe Cycling : http://www.cfsc.ottawa.on.ca
Icebike : http://www.icebike.org

to name a few. So try to go beyond them and not repeat them.
