I think I saw them there' the race was fun, most of the riders started in a torrential downpour

The Makaha TT was my first race too (a loooooooong time ago). I have no idea how you did, but I got 2nd to last place in the Citizen's category, so I'm betting that you didn't do nearly as bad. For nearly everyone, the first race is a humiliating experience. I improved quite a bit in the races after that.

That said, how did you do?

Maybe he didn't do as well as he expected. C'mon rockabilly, there's no shame in that! Tell us how the race was!

lol, nah I have no shame. I came in 18th out of (I think) 22 rider in the amateur mens divivsion. I was the last of the amateur men to go and the elite men division started right behind me so i got passed by a LOT of people, but it was fun anyway.

Hey rockabilly, glad you enjoyed your first race! I love time trials - nothing like pushing yourself to the outer limits of pain, then holding yourself there as long as you can :D.

Dam, now I wish I would have done the race. My commute is the same length as the time trial and my average speed is around 19. Looks like I wouldn't have placed dead last if my commute speed is any indication, hehe.
