Hello,
My name is Ran Bendori and I reside in the Bay Area. I’m a member of the
Team In Training (TNT) Winter tri team and am training with them to
compete in the Lavaman Triathlon on April 6th in Kona , Hawaii .
TNT raises money through their participants and that money is donated to
the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) for cancer research. My sister
passed away in 2003 after a year long struggle with cancer. Her bravery
throughout the fight inspired me to participate join Team In Training.
Bill Ruffner of San Jose Trek is a cancer survivor and a big fan of the
TNT organization. He generously agreed to donate bikes at cost. I’ll be
raffling a new Trek Madone 5. 2 or Equinox TTX 9. 0. (winner’s choice). The
MSRP of each bike is well above $3,000.
The raffle will be held on March 15, 2008 (location to be determined).
Each raffle ticket is $50. There will only be 200 raffle tickets
available so buy before you lose your chance to win a great bike!
I’ve created a website: www. drawabike. com , which will let you register
for the raffle. After a very simple registration process, you will
receive a confirmation email with your participation ID number and
payment instructions.
My LLS campaign manager, Katie Hronek has agreed to be the logistics
background for the raffle, and all payment will be sent to her. I’m
hoping to raise over $10,000. After I recover my cost for the raffle,
the remaining proceeds will be donated to LLS.
Thanks to Bill’s generosity, and based on the raffle’s success I hope to
conduct a total of 5 raffles.
You will not have to be present at the drawing event to win the bike.
The bike could be sent to you by UPS at no additional cost to the
winner. However, the shipment costs will be deducted from the donation.
Please forward this to anyone you think might be interested.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.
Sincerely,
Ran Bendori
