Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. But can y'all maybe try to at least keep spoiler related info out of the subject lines?

There are other good non-TOC related threads in here so it would be nice to not have to stay away the whole week. But for me, I can't watch the nightly coverage until I get the kids to bed.

Psst... it wasn't a real spoiler. The stage hadn't ended when he posted it. Did Boonen win? Did he not? Now you get to watch the nightly coverage not knowing!

Wasn't just directed at that specific thread. But thanks

Should I not allude to my own race results in topic titles until they are broadcast on YouTube? It's a racing forum. We go through this same debate so friggin much.

One of the things you quickly learn when you live in a country other than your own (if you want to keep your friends) is that you never open with the results. I live in Asia and many people on this forum also live out side NA. It is an international forum. If you say to someone, "Hey, did you see the Giants crush the Pats in the Superbowl?", you have either started a conversation or ruined the superbowl party this guy was having at his house that evening.

If you say, "Hey, did you catch the Superbowl at 4am this morning?" Then you have started a conversation, period.

I can't remember how many times some noob has spoiled a game for me or one of my friends.

Please don't post results IN A SUBJECT LINE. Be creative. If someone wants to read the thread then it's all fair game.

If your personal race results are important to anyone then yes, post a link and wait until we can see them on YouTube.

This may be a tired old debate but I can't even see why it would be a debate in the first place. Sheer laziness and a complete lack of creativity, maybe?

Yea we do. And for pro races, at least the big ones, is it so hard to leave spoiler info out of at least the subject?

Remember it got so bad one year they made a whole separate TDF forum for it.

Tell you what, when you get good enough to be televised and we care to see if you won or not on TV, then you can stop alluding to your race results. :D Until then there is a bit of a difference between some spoilers in the "CAT WHATEVER TRAINING CRIT" thread and TOC.

And actually most people posting their race reports do a nice job of not blowing the ending in the title.

Yea I know that's fun too. But I usually just do that in A&S. :D

Plus I don't have to wait to see you on youtube. I can see you race live!!!!
