i am about to purchase a rear & front derailler for my bike, there are decent sales discounts on them right now, but they are 2003's. If they are changing anything, i will wait for the next years stuff as i wil not be doing a terrible amount of cycling this winter except for the trainer. Does anyone know if the 2003 stuff will be the same as the 2004. The only difference i have seen is that in the 04 cannondale catolog the rear ultegra looks like it has a match of silver and black parts (really ugly) so if thats the only difference i dont want it.

any changes to ultegra for 2004 will be entirely cosmetic. shimano is only making major changes to dura ace this year.

They will trickle down the 10 speed stuff over the next couple of years. If I were you and could hold off on buying new parts now, I'd probably wait for the new 10 speed Ultegra to appear and upgrade my drivetrain.

Or I'd switch to Campy.

Damn, velocipedio, that's a great idea! I can attest to that being a pretty trick setup.
