I used to take open water clinics with my club. Then one day, we were to swim past the break onto a sandbar, to discuss the finer points of breaking and dolphining. Everyone swam out there and stood on the sandbar. My feet couldn't touch the seafloor so I kept floating away. Some guy finally took pity on me and grabbed hold of my leash collar, leaving me floating on my back like a neoprene otter. I don't think I heard a word the coach said.

Too funny!! For our open water clinics, the coach would have us swim to a buoy out in Glorietta Bay (Coronado) and we would have to bob in the water while he talked.

I'll refrain from posting a link to Randy Newman's song Short People...;):D

Yeah. I've completed 3 Olympic Tri's, my first at age 49. A great cross training regimen to stay in shape.
