I'm looking for a seatpost with an abnormally small diameter (yes, it is a French frame).
The stock seatpost measures 23.8 mm with vernier calipers. I'd like to find a 23.8, but I think that is out of the question.
I think my best bet is to turn down a larger diameter post. All I've found at a moderate price is a Kalloy post in 25.0mm. I'd like to find a 24.0 mm post, one with a modern clamp.
Anyone care to offer a link to one or know where they might be hiding? The Kalloys in 25.0mm are widely available and 1.2 mm is not that much, but I thought I'd give it a shot before purchasing. Also, I know yellow jersey has 24.0 mm, but I'm not willing to spend that much on this winter bike.
I've even looked at BMX posts and using a shim, but most of them seem to be just a post...not a post with a clamp attached to the top.
