Is there any difference between the trek 2000 and 2200 frame?

Nope! Same frame but 2200 upgraded to mostly Ultegra. My wife got one recently and loves it even though it still is not a perfect fit. She has a 43cm frame and the top tube is still a little bit too long even with the 65mm stem.

The new 2300 will have carbon seat and chain stays.

Apparently, Trek did not order enough parts from Shimano and cannot build bikes unitl they get parts. So, there are a few delays getting bikes right now. But the new 2300 will have a carbon back end.
