The reserve seems high to me... I've bought PX's for less than that. But given the vagaries of ebay pricing, you could be just about right, for all I know. Wouldn't be the first, and hopefully not the last, time I've been wrong.

Seems like a nice, clean ride.
the thing I like about it is all the components appear
to be original and clean. Seems to have been well cared
for. Reserve may be a bit high as pointed out.

High reserve. Early bidders, serious ones though I think, that may want to have their name early in hoping you contact them after the auction should the reserve not be met. I am not an expert in auctions, but I have noticed this before..

Well, it's a classic with Peugeot closing its doors for good.

Only the bicycle division will no longer exist, cars will still be manufactured. Not sure why, I read about this a few month back.

The bicyle division was sold off from the auto division more than 50 years ago.

Genuine French Peugeot bicycle production ended almost 20 years ago. I believe a Canadian firm (CCM?)bought rights to the marque, but I think their bicycle production os now moribund, as well.

That is right John E, Peugeot was made by Groupe Procycle Canada from 1974 until they abandoned this brand in 2001.

The reserve is set at $300. That is a very fair price for a good quality machine, let alone a collectible.

The seller describes it as being in near mint condition.

Go shopping for good road bikes. You can't get a good road bike for $300. List how many components you can buy for $300. You can put $300 worth of good bicycle components in your pocket and walk home.

If you like it, I say get it. Remember when you bid that shipping will cost between $35 to $60, so add that to your budget.
