On top of all the gear I just added for my fall and winter riding, Im now faced with covering my bike shoes with 50-60 dollar mittens? There must be a better price than that somewhere on the web. I must admit, my toes were a touch cold as I got to work today! Any direction to cheap shoe covers?

Two Wheel Transit, a LBS!, has neoprene booties in the $20 to $30 dollar range that work quite well. They stock some that are more expensive but recomend the "El Cheapos".

(Good people, lots of expertise.)

If it's not incredibly cold, slip a thick pair of wool socks over your shoes and cut a hole to expose the cleats and if it's really, really cold put 'em under the booties

Performance, too.

The Performance brand lists for about $30, but they're easy enough to catch on sale. I paid a little over $15 for mine.
