Lot's of activity right from the start. 3 racer breakaway with CA, BMC and Rabobank riders. Riders from the Peloton trying to bridge the gap, but to no avail so far. Scott Nydam is one of them in the break.

Just watched Voight attack. Did you see the look on his face as he approached the camera? I wish I had that as a Poster on the wall!

Was it this face:

most like the first. :) As in, "I might decide to kill you Mr.-Cameraman-on-the moto. I might decide to just eat you alive."

I am a huge Jens fan. I wish I had 1/10 the determination he does.

I know this has been beaten to death, but where are you guys getting video?

I want to listen to the audio here at work.

Catch 22. I use Firefox to get to the Amgen site which then tells me I have to disable Firefox to watch the tracker thingy. I'll just wait 'til it comes through town again.

How do you get the PiP working?

and I like these announcers, they are even talking gearing....

5 minute gap on a 4 man break...the climbing starts soon. Including Nydam AGAIN. That's gotta hurt.

Get the Adobe Flash plugin and it should work. I use Firefox 2.0 with Adobe flash. Works like a champ.

Cozza was able to catch the break. Incredible.

I'm using Firefox to watch http://www.amgentourofcalifornia.com/docroot/tourtracker2008/AdobeTourTracker.html. If PIP isn't showing up for you, refresh. They just got it working.

DrWJODonnell

PIP rocks!!!!

I would rather use this format then watching on TV by far. Audio, TWO video feeds (selectable), rider tracking, rider stats, text updates.

SWEET.

Now if we could teach American cameramen how to actually film a bike race, and teach those two how to commentate, it would be the perfect experience?

Using IE, refreshed, and it isn't working. Oh well. No biggie.

It's most likely a flash problem. See if you can update your flash player.

Have flash 9. Like I said, no big deal. better than plain text updates.

Food poisoning for Tyler. Ouch. That is suffering at its best.

Does the motorcycle driver that's leading the main group think he's racing? He keeps going way ahead...

The cyclingnews live feed says that Oscar Freire is in the lead group.

El Gato rules. How the hell his ass made it up and down with the leaders is beyond me, but he's awesome.

I hope that Hincapie is able to hang on to Millar as he and Pena pass him and maybe make some ground up on the descent.

It'd be nice to get some perspective shots from the aerial camera--how far back is Z?
