Alt Bike Culture - Chinese Wooden Bicycle
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
The wooden bicycle has been used for hundred of years in China. The only replacement parts are the tires and the crank. Very environmental friendly. :)

Hundreds of years? Damn, they invented the chain before we did? ;)
Nice bike though. Looks... chunky!

It would make a great scraper bike. Maybe start out with some wheels from an old circus wagon.
