In a discount store last weekend, I saw "American Flyers" on DVD for only $4 each. I picked up all of them I could find in the bin (24), and while supplies last, I will send anyone a free copy in exchange for your serious consideration of making a tax deductible contribution to my LiveStrong ride.

It is suggested that you consider a donation of at least $10 to cover my costs, since the objective is to make more for the LAF than they would have made if I contributed the money directly. And more if you can, to help cover for those that won't be able, or are unwilling to contribute. It is for a great cause, and you get a movie to watch when you start to feel down because the weather is too bad to ride. :)

This is your chance to own a copy of one of the top ten American movies with a cycling theme... I can't really think of more than a couple, but to be honest, this one is my favorite American cycling film. Yeah, it is corny at times, and the race scenes have some issues, but still, with the American cinema all but ignoring cycling, this was at least an effort.

To take advantage of this limited time offer (only 14 left) simply send me a PM with your mailing address, and I will get it in the mail right away.

Donations are to be made directly to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, either through the web or using a donation form I have enclosed with each DVD. My understanding is that your donation is 100% tax deductible, since I am not sending the video in response to a donation, but free, without a requirement to donate.

I will make a posting here when the supply is exhausted.

Donations are gladly accepted via the link in my signature, even if you don't want the DVD.

Bumped to let you know that there are still 14 DVDs left.

Edit... also an interestiung coincidence. The three contributors so far are:

John
Jon
Jonathan

So, come on, all you people with names other than derivatives of John don't be outdone!!!

And those of you with such names... Don't let the others catch up!!!

Now you've got a contributor whose name is "East".

Much appreciated. I noticed you showed up on one of my Tour de Cure rides too... :)

I can hardly wait for some warm days to start training. Of course, I could actually hook up my trainer, but it is not the same.

Done. I've ridden some of the roads in the movie. It's a great place to ride, but the tractors get wider and wider....

Hey Little Darwin, I am so sorry it took so long to get the contributiuon in. I actually forgot all about it and happened to see the movie sitting on the shelf the other day. Gave a little extra for making you wait. Good luck,

Ray

No problem Ray... The contribution was voluntary, and anything is sincerely appreciated.

cudak888 has earned himself a DVD, and has graciously regifted it back to you.
Likewise with mine, if you haven't sent it. Keep it up.
I tried to make it fun w/the gum bike....

I'll be back on some of those roads in mid-July.
