The commentators think that Voigt is going to start a ferocious attack today to eradicate his 7' deficit.
Should be another interesting stage.

This break is working together wonderfully. It may make it if they keep up this rolling paceline.

This coverage is awesome, sound from the camera on the road....

just got back from riding in the rain (not there, but close enough). It's not cold out, so much, but rain sucks.
It sounds like it is windy there, though, which doesn't make anybody happy.
+1 on loving the coverage
ahhhahahah tom danielson gave up.
He popped in no man's land, couldn't hang onto the peleton and is riding in the team car. F--- it, I wouldn't want to do 135 miles in that stuff.

Danielson abandons already. I hate that f*cker. He's always sick or hurt or something. He's almost the American version of VDB.

If you're getting paid to do that stuff, you better perform. I don't think you can just call it quits for no reason.

If he's cashing it in on the 3rd day of ToC how is he going to make it thru a grand tour?

"Training pace, 22-24 mph, riding 30-40minutes pulling at a time to let their teammates rest"
Training pace? Christ, I wish that was my training pace, that is anaerobic for me...

I would be SHOCKED...absolutely SHOCKED if that were true.

He's almost the American version of VDB.
Gosh, I missed the part where Danielson tried to kill himself, had his dog on EPO, rode under a fake name, threatened someone with a gun, tried to pass himself off as Tom Boonen, or had multiple DUI's. But I have to admit that I do not read the Durango newspaper.

Announcer just told the riders to HTFU....
Dominic Rollin has clearly had his brains frozen up. Struggling to put on a vest for like 5 minutes and still failing. Man it must be cold there.

His dog?

Yeah they found drugs in his house (including EPO) and he claimed they were for his dog.

Oh, ok...I had this image of the guy shooting up a poor dog. And in this day and age, you can't just dismiss something like that, can you...

I emailed the ToC commentators to ask if they think Danielson's a wimp and just needs to HTFU.

Now they're talking about the possibility/probability of a crash in the last few hundred meters of today's race, due to the corners and the rain.

Looks like we were right about Danielson. From Cyclingnews:
"The riders are heading downhill to the Ragged Point, an appropriate name for our battered peloton. They've not only been plagued by wet weather but also by a hideously contagious stomach bug. It's claimed half the Gerolsteiner team, Tyler Farrar and Tom Danielson from Slipstream among others."

Bryce Mead, 6'6" guy for Jelly Belly in the break right now, is a recent "graduate" of my squad, turned pro last year. I hope he survives till the end and gets a good result.
Doesn't seem like Astana is chasing that hard, and I'd be willing to bet that QSI don't give a hoot either.

Nice man, I'll give him a few cheers.
BTW, QS is no longer QSI. Lost that sponsor this year.
Stewart's been taken to hospital with hypothermia! Bloody hell!

Stewart's been taken to hospital with hypothermia! Bloody hell!
Just heard that...Didn't realize it was THAT bad there.......
Well they were telling it's 50F near the finish, and it's been raining and really windy all day. So hypothermia isn't exactly incredible but still, I thought pro riders would be prepared to ride in this sort of weather.
I feel bad for these guys. This stage has to be beating them down.
