Ride report, missy?

Donut missy me...where were you??

I don't type well enough to do long drawn out reports...bah.

OK...we assembled in Silverlake Rec Center...there was somebody working on her Master's at USC who interviewed the ride leaders on camera...one of those was me yeah...she had a lot of questions...then she followed us and filmed from her car. I probably should have written her name down as I don't remember it now.

We took off for our first stop the Silverlake Farmer's Market where my good friend and speaker Amy Bowen met us and discussed the benefits of eating locally/organic produce. Amy works for these folks (http://www.localharvest.org/farms/M13085).

We all looked around the Farmer's Market it was cool. I saw a lot of other people on bikes, too, all over Silverlake.

Then we went and toured Eco-Home (http://www.ecohome.org/pages/index.html). That was very inspiring. I especially loved her front yard xeriscape.

Now...here's where things didn't go as planned. We were all going to ride over to the Bicycle Kitchen but it started to rain, so we just went back to the Rec Center.

On the way back we saw the Feel My Legs ride pass. I stopped by Maltman for a quick hello. OK...what's a ride lately without a crash? (not our group)

Oh Noes! Cole went down while climbing Baxter and fractured his collarbone...Get well soon, Cole...

Sounds like a good event all around. How big was the turnout?

I'm all about eating locally-grown food. I'm off right now to support the local Weinerschnitzel. Five chili dogs for five bucks.

I want his mustache.

Men want his mustache. Women want...

His mustache is the best in SoCal.

We don't need no stinking poll...

It would be unbefitting a woman of my station to make unseemly comments about a gentleman I do not know, and who is not in present company. Your contemporary social mores make my corset stays thrum in indignation.
