how about you sell that snowboard and stop buying rediculous lamps.

all you need is one bulb.

Why don't you just bum parts off of your road bike?

Hey, that's practically done. You can make it rideable for next to nothing... ****ty chains and tyres are cheap and you can slap on a cheapo pedal with toe clips. Cogs don't cost all that much, either.
Not that you necessarily should, I'm just saying that if you're broke and itching to ride it, cheap/used/borrowed parts could easily complete it.
Oh, and congrats, it's pretty.

I second that, snowboarding is overrated, and getting pretty corny.

Tires and chains are overrated. Do it flintstone style.

Sell those fugly grips and buy a no name chain and cog--slap some old tires on and you'll be all set

noting the use of a fisheye lens to shoot that photo, i somehow doubt selling the snowboard will be an option.

buy a no name cog

Bad advice from what I've read on the forums. Cheap cog = increased chance of stripped hubs. I'd hate for that to happen to your build.

Yeah. Of all places to try and save money, that isn't it. Dura ace cogs ~ $25. Cheapest stamped **** about $10.

Really not worth it.

Don't skimp on drivetrain parts. These are more important than any other parts of the bicycle.

Thanks for all the offers on parts guys!

But i feel like i've already put so much into this bike, I have to finish it the way I had originally intended to. So all i need is sylvan track pedals, mks clips and straps. a pair of soma everwears, dura ace cog, and supertype seatpost (the seatpost in the pic is actually a 26.6 and doesn't really fit in my 27.2 clamp) does anyone have any suggestions for a solid 3/32 chain, or will any chain do fine?

Thanks for all the help guys

If you're going to be riding in the winter i'd suggest picking up a stainless chain. If not any cheapy chain like the sram pc1 will do fine.

If you have another bike (or know someone who does and likes you a lot) just swap some parts on for a bit.

If not, go to local coop. But cheap plastic pedals/cages with Nylon straps, like $10. Buy a a chain for 10-15. Buy some cheap tube, $4ea. Get some Vittoria Zaffiro $16/ea. Youll be rolling for about $60. Put it on a credit cad and pay it off with your next pay check. Then in another month throw on some fancy tires/pedals/whatever floats you boat. Id rather be riding with mediocre parts than sitting at home on a sunny day.

What a strange pic (OP). It shows signs of a very wide lens, yet a real piece of crap sensor/image processing.

What camera was used?

EXIF says: Canon PowerShot G3

Do you have some sort of add on wide lens?

I agree, get your DA cog and then get the cheapest set up you can on tires etc and slowly work your way up to the miche etc. Or better yet get a new Credit Card and figure it out later :) one of my buddies used his student loan money because he won't have to pay it for a few years from now.

if you're lookin' to get rid of it, i'll gladly take it off your hands. haha.
