Hello All,

I am an athena and as a result have to purchase mens' bike shorts for my rides. My question is this, is the padding much different from a mens to a womens short?

Thanks

You shouldn't have to purchase men's bike shorts. Go look at junonia.com

My wife is an Athena and I was blessed with a vulup,......errr she was blessed with a vuluptuous BUM.:D She wore men's shorts for a while but was never really comfy. Chamois was ok but then we found TERRY shorts at a shop. She tried them on and instantlly loved them!

On the bike, she claims the chamois is far better than those on Nike or Pearl Izumis. Nice construction that wears and fits well. No worries about stretching the material so much that the assets will show through. She loves the fabric as it is nice and thick and built well. I guess she likes her shorts like I like my women!:D

I believe they were about $80 a pair but WELL worth it. She went from 50 milers with little discomfort to an 70-80 milers with no dicomfort. But having a decent saddle helps plenty too!

I myself like Terry products. I use a Men's Terry Fly as my saddle and like it very much. Plus I must admit I like her shorts.:p

Terry has had a great reputation for a long time.

I have Terry's shorts and skorts and they are marvelous. Incredibly comfortable. Check Terry's sale section. In the fall I bought two more pairs of skorts for half off. I also have a great pair of cool weather tights for spring and fall riding. Totally nice and comfy!
