Should I hop on the bike and go to the corner store to buy a couple more beers? I've drank 22oz Heineken and I wouldn't mind some more but I don't know if I feel like riding. I'm sure as hell not driving. I know 22oz isn't a lot but I've not been drinking at all for awhile so I've got a little buzz...so should I?

If you have a buzz now and go get more beer you will look like your avatar tomorrow.

The deed has been done. MKRG bought more beer. Interesting that there were three cops in the store when I was in there. I didn't even bother with locking the bike because there were three cruisers out front. I always feel like a criminal when I buy beer...I think it has something to do with the fact that I still have my Illinois drivers license that has a picture of me with my "punk rock" black hair :D Onetinsloth, if I were in the neighborhood I would gladly drop off a beer for you. Sorry to hear about your cold.

Do not ride fixed gear buzzed. You can accidently stick your tongue between the chain and ring. You don't want that.

whooo drunknknknknkn. yes. well i just got back from a party - my roomates 21st to be exact - heinekin is the beer you drink when you have some extra pocket change. PBR, IC, keystone, and horribly mixed drinks are what you drink when your low on cash. i highly recommend pbr even though its becoming expensive in new york. but out here in pgh, its the beer of choice for parties.

and... get MORE BEER! you can never have enough. if your in pittsburgh and you want to party - come to my place. I love to ride, and i love to toss back a few refreshments - just not at the same time. uhm. cool. beer, chains, and bullhorns. thats my new motto. -nrs

I don't even like riding fixed sober - hopfully I'll be sober when I take my SS out for 40 in the morn.

usually when i go out for a drink or seven, i ride my fixie.

i used to take my road bike out, but then i almost got hit on it because i was going waaay too fast. i don't usually go very fast on my "beater" fixie, which has pretty easy gearing that i don't like to spin out on even when i'm sober, so i don't go too fast anyway...so i think it's safer. i think fixed forces you to pay way more attention to what's going on around you than say, a freewheeled bike.

that said, i'd never ride home if i wasn't sure i'd make it. there ahve been times when i had to wait until i sobered up considerably before i headed home. one thing i'll never do though is leave my bike behind to take a cab or bus. if i have to get home, i'm either riding or walking.
