Pacific Northwest - Tried to get the Oregon 'Share the Road' plate

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I went to the DMV yesterday in Hillsboro with the intention of getting the new 'Share the Road' plate, but was told that there was some kind of copy right issue and that there was a 45 day or more wait for the plate.

How pricey are they in Oregon? I thought about getting some here in Wa. and they are like $40 a year. Thats a new tire for my Trek!
I think I paid $25 or $30. If you are renewing or buying new plates it's $15.
I ordered my plates in January, still no plates.....somebody kick those prison inmates into action!!
I guess they have settled the dispute and they just need to get cracking on making them.:D
