Hello SoCal Peeps!!

I would just like to introduce myself to the SoCal section! I have been a lurker on this site since 2007 and decided to get in on the fun and start posting!

A little about me, I live in Aliso Viejo and just got out of the Marines and decided to live here. Orignally from Va. I ride just road bikes and have done a few races here and there! I have seen alot of BF members @races but didn't realize who they were until I see their post here. I'm not good at racing, but just enjoy the sport in general! When I'm not having any fun on my bike, it's time to take up golf!!:p

My wife and I remember seeing you at the Baker to Death Valley road race! You might remember seeing me, I was the last person to cilmb that hill to the feed zone...well maybe not the last, but it sure felt like it!!! :mad:

Not Greg, his name is Bobby S. He's a sales guy there! He talks about George all the time and George's brevet rides.. I have known Bobby since I was in the Marines and he was a car salesman @Gen Grody Ford. I still haven't met George personally yet.

Yes, well, that's why I picked mine, so I'm not one to judge. :p The other ocrider is Pat, I believe. A very nice guy who lives down that way as well.

I don't do MTBing. I would love to but that would mean another bike purchase along with the clothes and shoes!!:p My wife already says I have too many bikes:(

As for racing, I do the Eldo Park series on a regular basis and I do crits. Would love to do more road racing but there are few of those. I used to be a part of Paramount Racing and Orange County Wheelmen. I ride mostly by myself on the weekdays after work and do Foodpark and Como St rides on weekends!

Would love to get together with some BF's rides too:o

I noticed that you guys post here for rides, but how do you all recognize each other on the roads? Do you guys have a super secret handshake or something???;)

Yes, please do join. :) If it's a BF ride (i.e. a member invites others to join him/her on a particular ride/day), a meet location is identified. If it's a ride organized by a club or group (e.g. Cool Breeze, Palm Springs Century), a meet location is suggested and then some people have SO CAL jerseys and wear them. Otherwise, you just come to the location that people suggest at the meet time, and you'll see a group standing around chatting. That's usually how it works.
