Man I was in college when that album came out. Makes me feel old.
Portisehead ~ Live at the Roseland Ballroom
Thievery Coroporation ~ The Outernational Sound (giving it another try and not neceessarily being disappointed)
On a much more "make me feel young" tip: saw the Hives last night and they f-ing rocked harder and with my verosity than most. And they sounded bloody good doing it. So much attitude and ego that they transcended attitude per se. Awesome.

Tonight I have listened to a lot of Van Halen. Right now, "Hot for Teacher" is playing. Makes me think about old feelings for hot Texas teachers.

Jawbox was always too polyrhythmic, among other things, to be very poppy. The masses can't handle that sort of thing.

I have been doing some desk work and listening to the Brindisi String Quartet playing Anton Webern's "Langsamer Satz." It is beautiful and weird, but, in refrernce to the ear worm thread (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=59570), there isn't much chance of it getting stuck in my head.

I listen to lots of Classic Rock and Oldies. I also collect 78's, mainly Swing but also a fair number from the Teen's and Twenty's. My all time favorite singer/band?
Alice Cooper!

I've been listening to Classic Rock on Launchcast, and getting really annoyed. I don't mind the stuff I grew up with being called "classic" but when they start playing Bon Jovi and Poison...music that came after my time...
Dang! I feel old.

I'm not a classical music type (35 years old with alean towards alt rock) but when I ride I prefer to listen to listen to classical music. I don't know if I just equate it to "Breaking Away" but it just seems to flow with pacing better. I just seem to come and out of the music with my focus. Anybody else like this.
