desire to shake things up a bit.

oooh...not too shabby for that album> i'll take it over "fool in the rain" or south bound suarez"
but not over "in the evening" or "all of my love." 3rd best song on the album.

Ever since I was a teenager, HOT DOG was my sentimental favorite. No matter, it's all so massive as to signal the decline of the 8-track, disco and eventually K-Tel and leaded gas.

I love that entire album. Every song has something. What is funny is that when I was 13, I had the option of getting that album for free or to get Styx Cornerstone. Guess which one I took.:crash: Dumb ass teenager!

Clapton From the Cradle and Me and Mr. Johnson
Say what you will about Clapton, but for me this is where he really shines. His take on,
and interpretation of some of the best blues songs ever penned is perfect.
He shows a respect for the music, the genre and the originals that I find refreshing.

listened to Doors L.A. Woman on way into work this morning, can't say that it's my
favourite Doors album but there's some tasty tracks on there.

'the changeling, crawling king snake, the wasp (texas radio and the big beat), l'america
are what, imho, make this album the undisputed classic that it is. framed by the twin classics of
the title track and 'riders' along with a minor classic like 'love her madly' set the stage. the above songs fill in the rest quite capably. because of the slightly bluesy feel, it seems like the least dated
of their albums...and the best one to put on while driving...

I like Morrison Hotel for driving all of the previous albums
are a bit too 'Psychadooza' to drive to. Hard to concentrate on driving while
Jim screams "Mother I want to. . . ." in the car, eh?

listening to Abbey Road just loaded it into new ipod. I really need to get some good
earbuds, hmmm might have to drag my Senheisser 144's back from the office.

Nice rework of songs left off of original box set. My only complaint is they broke up
Heartbreaker/Living loving Maid (she's just a woman).

Led Zeppelin II cued up
Ten Years After Watt after that.

Well, I just got myself a new iPad a couple of weeks ago and found a nice little NPR app.
Seems they're streaming a new Los Lobos CD that's due out on 8/3 (a new Los Lobos? where have i been?)
This led me to the Apple Store where I found "Good Morning Aztlan", which I did not own (what?)
I'm listening to that now. I love my iPad. And, ya know? Los Lobosaain't too bad, either.

Also, while I was there, I picked up American Idiot. Green Day grows up.

I watched a 2003 Gordon Lightfoot concert on local PBS station which was sort of
sad, like watching Lightfoot do an imitation of Lightfoot if that makes any sense.
Anyhow it got me off on a prolonged Lightfoot session.

What I put in my playlist depends on my mood. If I'm happy, excited or on my way work, I listen to upbeat tracks from RnB/Hiphop to Trance music. When I'm down or angry, I listen to Rock music. But there's one track that I never fail to listen to every single day, it's called Real Girl by Mutya Buena, and that's exactly what's playing right now.
