SWEET! That album does it to me every time.........
Indeed - albums like this just make you feel at home, no matter where you are.

I like it more than the first one. I liked it immediately, whereas the first took a little bit to grow on me. I also like how the mediate all the gloom with some anthems.

I listen to that one all the time. Also, I think that their are many overlooked songs by Nada Surf which are pretty good too.

Oh man, I could post in this thread all day long (all I do is listen to music all day) - I'll just post my playlist and come back in 12 hours! This is my "trendy hipster" playlist - I was in one of those moods. I usually listen to complete albums (and I own all my music, just because I like album art and insert info, not for politics).

Artist - Album

Weezer - Blue Album
mewithoutyou - Catch For Us The Foxes
The White Stripes - Elephant
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Fever To Tell
Coheed and Cambria - In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3
Eisley - Laughing City (EP)
Eisley - Marvelous Things (EP)
Zwan - Mary Star of the Sea
Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
Radiohead - OK Computer
Weezer - Pinkerton
At the Drive-In - Relationship of Command
Belle & Sebastian - The Boy With the Arab Strap
Dashboard Confessional - The Swiss Army Romance
Weezer - Green Album

iTunes tells me that's 11.8 hours, so that should cover the workday and then some. At this very moment I'm listening to the 10th track of the Zwan album (Baby Let's Rock).

We are so lucky here in San Diego..We have an independent , adult alternative pop station...ie- (Clear Channel succs)there is a web site of nearly the same spelling.) Anyone know about how musicians rally for free independent radio.-
Well, anyway, our local independent is worthy of multiple of musicians/artists stopping in their studio and recording for this station...That is an uncommon event in radio marginilized America, with stations and their mini hits lists and standarized format...
Anyway, this station puts out( with the artists permission) the results of their many annual studio recordings...Their annual compilation cd....This years is extordinary...Limited edition..When gone, gone...( I post this only after I have botten enough for my christmas list...)
The compilation cd features...Sarah McLachlan, Five for Fighting, Barenaked Ladies, John Eddie Jack Johnson, Steve Poltz, Joe Firstman, Eve Sellis, Ziggy Marley, Berkley Hart, Alanis morissette. To name but most of them...Dynamite music..Can't get enough of this cd...Wonder if most of the rest of this dispriviliged nation's radio audience know who most of these artists are...My six cd's will be sent around the country and world, to let the rest of the world know( at least our friends) that good music did not die 30 years ago... The cd....KPRI Live Tracks, Volume 2..Awesome....

Modest Mouse - The Lonesome Crowded West (THIS is the MM disc to have, not this new MTV/yuppie minivan commercial pop)
