Leatherface is completely awesome, and they're nice guys, too,(I met them in Atlanta a couple times.) They also make great "i-just-broke-up-with-girl" music, I've found.

I'm jealous. I've loved 'em forever, but the one time I knew that they played around here, the show sold out. (And why the hell did they have to open for that wretched 'hot water music', anyway?) Still, they sounded great from outside the club.

And yeah, don't I know it.

snickersnicker: no, i didn't. i would have liked to, unfortunately though, i was, as anticipated, broke.

with regards to 'the underdark': although it didn't impress me, yet i wouldn't say that it let me down either (and to be fair, i'm not the biggest fan of f/d's in the first place). i guess i'm wondering why you were disappointed with it.

Hmmm...I suppose I'm disappointed because Funeral Diner has gotten better with every release since the very first. And the last couple releases were REALLY great (especially the Raein split 7"). And then this comes along and, while it progresses, I feel it could've gone in a better direction.

Upon consecutive listens, I've found it more enjoyable than the first time through, though.

Ahhh... what have I been listening to lately...

These arms are snakes, circle takes the square, stereolab, depeche mode, joy division, reagan youth, stills, killers, libertines, sonic youth, bob marley, pinback... that about sums up my last week.

I don't listen to music as much as I used to... esp. since I've been getting into bikes, I don't buy new music every week now. Ugh, if it's not one thing you spend your money on, it's another >:P
