Remix & Repent - Marilyn Manson
Keith Jarrett - The Vienna Concert
Just FYI: Steve Hackett is playing on Long Island soon - IMAC in Huntington, good venue for 'sit and listen' shows.
Looks like he's doing the acoustic neo-classical trio thing, and is coming out here to Cali after the East Coast. You going to go see him?

I used to be friends with those guys, the fang gang house kids from Madison, Wisconsin (I lived in Janesville 40 miles south, spent our weekends in madison)--I helped put together one of their first out-of-town shows

Garlands ~ Cocteau Twins
Amazing, as always. Cocteau Twins fits perfectly into my group of music that always sounds amazing late at night.
+1 on Cocteau Twins.
Right now, I'm spinning Keith Jarrett's Vienna Concert again.

Funny story. Jason from Noneleftstanding + Davey from CaP'n Jazz and Ten Boy Summer = one half of The Promise Ring. No idea what the other Noneleftstanding dudes are doing right now (or Jason for that matter), but The Promise Ring is having a reunion for some charity in Chicago in November.
Noneleftstanding is criminally underrated. I'm not a fan of the vocals, but they had that style down pat. Drummer was fantastic. What all did they put out? The Laura 7", LP, and the song on the Some Ideas Are Poisonous 2xLP (which is also on the LP) are all that I know of.
Did Wisconsin have any other similar bands at that time?

The KLF - The White RoomMan, I used to love that tape in high school. I was hitch-hiking out to California a few years ago, and this methed-out, fat trucker with a pet Boxer named "Harley" picked me up in West Texas. He was showing off his eclectic music collection and I told him I desperately wanted to listen to that KLF CD. He was so impressed with my musical taste that he asked if I wanted to tag along to San Diego so he could make a HUGE drug score. I politely declined and got out in Arizona. That dude drove for 19 hours straight. I bet there are a lot of weird tales attached to that album, plus it's got Reba. :)

I think Time of No Reply is as good a place as any. It's my favorite and it's not like there's anything abrasive or weird about Drake that you necessarily have to get used to. PM me your mailing address and I'll put it int he mail (I lost it).
