Me, I'm into the Rock and Heavy scene, I'm probably the only cyclist on the planet who has long hair and a beard, true Rock n Roll, toxic man :D. I love Neil Young & Crazy Horse (Rustie), Nirvana, Metallica, Zeppelin etc...
But I also listen to the hotties now and again. Mandy Moore, Delta Goodrem, Michelle Branch<<< All hot...
What are you guys listening to...
This morning, Vehicles and Animals by Athlete, then Royskopp, Melody A.M., then this afternoon Lucinda William - Car wheels on a gravel road.

Two new additions in last 2 weeks.. Bought Shaun Mullins cd-Essentials. Really like it.. While down and on trainer, I bought a Pink Floyd complitation cd.. That helped make spin time on the trainer a little longer.
I like adult alternative. Like Shaun Mullins, Bonnie Rait, MElissa Etherridge. Like the new Annie Lennox.. Been meaning to pick up the latest from the late Warren Zevon. Heard it is awesome. Zevon said his goodbye with class.

The last CD I picked up was Kraftwerk's Tour de France Soundtracks. Ralf and Florian broke new ground in the 70s and have been breaking the same old ground ever since. The CD has some good moments though, especially "Elektro Kardiogramm", "Vitamin" and the "Tour de France" Remix.
I've also been listening to the Beethoven string quartets in chronological order, a Canadian new grass band called the Clumsy Lovers, and John Coltrane.

I listen to everything from Mahler to Metallica...Everything, that is, except toxic pop and hip-hop (no redeeming musical value).

Kraftwerk is a German band. They virtually invented electronica. They charted a hit in the US in the 70s with a tune called "Autobahn." Their music is minimalist and all electronic, tricky rhythms, weird monotone vocals. Their self-description is "robot pop."
Naturally, they have a website. (http://www.kraftwerk.com/)

I am lucky that one of our trails here is about 34 and another is 56 miles long all out in the country and they are mainly used by roadies. I strap on the headphones when I ride them and pound it out!
would not listen to them on the road.

Regular guy.. I do not know of a techno station in San Diego. My question.. Thanks.. I listened to Kreftwerk.. Listened to the TDF cut.. ok.. Might consider it.. How do the other 10-12 cuts compare.? Far different pace. Good to use on a trainer.?

I think it could be used on the trainer. A couple of the tracks are slower. The first four cuts are essentially one long (reptitive) piece. As I said above, the tracks vary in quality. I don't usually listen to tunage on the trainer, so i may not be the best judge, but I think it could work.

I have3 my mp3 on shuffle Allison Krause & Union Station "Lucky One" is Playing just heard Elvis's "Rubbernecking" who knows whats next could be Coltrane or Mozart, maybe even Jurassic5 or Nelly I can't think of a genre out there where I can't find something I like. Never listen to music on head phones anymore while I ride on the trail or on the road. To dangerous and the experience is better without it.

Thrice, The Used, Taking Back Sunday, Bigwig, etc. I listen to a wide variety of music when I am riding.. mainly harder stuff to get the adrenalin pumping. It is amazing how less fatigued I feel when I have some good music to ride to. I try to focus on the beat and keep my pedal rotations in time, when in a harder gear can really make your legs go to jelly.. I just feel more comfortable with some music playing while I am riding, it adds to the experience! :)
working on Chopin etudes and baroque on piano; that's about it

Classic rock, classic jazz, blues, opera and classical. My two great faults are bicycles and stereo gear (and the music it provides). At least that is what my wife says. I tell her it keeps me out of the bars and away from unsavory people (like me). Seems to work.

I grew up listening to Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, some jazz and some blues.
These days I tend to listen more to indie rock and downbeat. There's a lot of good leser-known music going on these days.
Some current favorites are Yo La Tengo, Calexico, Tortoise, American Analog Set, Herbert.
