Hi all,

Today i had my first proper ride after 4 months. (June..). Given a hectic and tiresome summer with research papers and moving to a new city i was out of biking for 4 months. Unfortunately i showed up for a ride today at the university MTB club, so the guys there put me through a 5 hour intense ride with loads of ups and downs, i spilled blood (j/k) on the uphills but i really enjoyed DH through twisty and super narrow singletrack, given the new city though, the terrain was different again!!!! this time i went through 100% loose terrain with small rocks causing me to loose balance on several occasions, luckiliy i didnt crash... Anyhow some (most) of the singletrack was so narrow that my legs and arms swiped through loads of vegetation.... Finally the torture is over and i am recovering in front of my PC. I guess that after a month i will regain both my fitness and my skills as i was afraid to go flat out on DH (new trail and 4 months out of riding....lost me my skills for a bit ;) ). Thats all, oh and something else...i got numbness....new Flite Ti saddle, no cycling shorts, first ride...bad combo. Plus i am a bit tired of my HT it really blows my back a lot... thus i am looking at getting an Enduro Sworks light FR frame .

Cheers everyone.
Yannis.
Dont let the mountain beat you.

I have been out almost four months due to an injury.
I found I was somewhat stressed on the hills, but had not lost so much fitness, that I could not do it.
A month to get back to normal? Hope so, as for me, I gained about 15 pounds.
