I'll bring Breaking Away and American Flyers.

Nice screen :) Looks like a 120". I'm sporting a 106" myself and never want to go back to anything smaller. Watching HDTV and high-def movies is such a great experience with a projector and a good screen.

If you are looking for a kick-ass home theater system, you should take a look at MythTV! It's a great program and runs under Linux.

Whatever you say. You own the cinema, chief.

(though I may have to sneak in my own Sno Caps, as I hear Aham Theatre concessions are way overpriced as they try to recoup some of the building costs)

aham, this is almost a rhetorical question, but was the first HD-DVD movie you watched in the new theater this one? Was it everything you dreamed it could be and more?

Very ironic that we both joined AVS around the same time in 2002. Looks like Blue Ray won out so my PS3 will be getting the nod on HD movies.

depends on the receiver. my denon passes through the video it is feed via HDMI. so, it basically is an HDMI switch. it will up convert video input to it via s-video, coax, and component. the reason being most of the time the HDMI feed is already a hi def format or converted by the player before sent to the receiver.

logged an hour last night on the trainer while watching the matrix. it was almost fun :D.

first rule of BFNIC; We do NOT discuss mileage when speaking of trainer/roller rides.

you really need to get your BFNIC card.

That makes sense. In that case the PS3 up converts standard DVD's VERY well.

i pulled my KK trainer into the theater room last night and finished off the last hour of the matrix in pure 1080p bliss with true HD sound. we could line up 4 bikes right in front of the screen. :)

Since I don't have an HD-DVD or Blue-Ray player connected to my 32" LCD on the wall I can still get a thrill out of normal DVD's during roller rides :)

I used to ride my rollers in front of the projector screen, but my wife was annoyed by the whirling noise of the rollers, so she threw my ass out :D

Funny....My experience has been just the opposite. I have been trying to get the wife to ride the trainer during winter for years. Now that we have the theater she is down there riding all the time. I have posted it before but here is our setup......

I made a mistake and went budget on the table. Hopefully next year we can upgrade to a larger heavier table. Nothing beats a drunk air hockey session :)

Yeah, I know what you're talking about, I got a cheaper Brunswick air hockey table as well. The playing field is on top of plywood. And the playing field is slightly warped. But the real good tables are going for over 1300$. Too much for my budget as I invested heavily in a 9' pool table the same year I bought the air hockey table.

I was watching them before Christmas and it looked like if I waited for just the right deal that $600.00 or so would get me what I wanted. Something like THIS (http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2813585&cp=2769331&fbn=StorePrice%7C%24300.00+-+%24600.00&fbc=1&categoryId=2769331&fr=StorePrice%2FDSP%2F00030000%2F00060000&CompareButton=yes&parentPage=search&searchId=23498881723) is all we need.

Incorrect. Drunk darts is much better AND comes with an increased risk factor and an element of destruction (for your wall at least).

Hell.. that's what my table cost and it still had a plywood underneath the playing surface. I like the tables from the arcades, they use some kind of plastic which doesn't warp and always slide very good. But they are expensive.

Home Theaters. Simulated Hockey tables made of air. Fancy roller trainer contraptions in finished basements.

This thread is making me very ashamed of the rancid hell hole that is my tumbledown shack of a home.
