One of the neat things about biking is the different moods you can get into while biking.

Sometimes I am Lance, defeating all the other bikers. Sometimes I am in "recovery" mode, just trying to get the energy back. Then again, at times I am the "explorer" - shall I try this new road or trail?

Today I was in "cruise" mode. Sort of like a big Buick going down the highway!

Beautiful day, temp was 58F, gusty winds from all directions about 10-15 mph. Gorgeous gold fall colors.

Started out with light windbreaker, which I removed after 5 miles. Definitely a "shirtsleeve" type of day.

So, I "cruised"!!

Between 15-20 mph, just moving along ever so nicely. After 20 miles, still felt as if I was just getting into the biking. Could have gone another 20 easily, but, alas, the duties of life called me home.

Anyway, it was a great stress reliever and a wonderful Saturday activity.

Thanks for listening.

Don't you just hate those pesky "omnidirectional" winds when you're just drifting along trying to enjoy life? :)

They are generally omnidirectional going up, and headwinds going down!! At least it seems that way
