Looks like the OP got another bike, but I wanted to post a quick review of this bike. I rode it about 3 months last summer before i craigslisted it. The good was that it was fast and light (mine weighed about 22-23lbs). The admitedly low grade components were smooth shifting with no issues.
The bad was that the aluminium of this bike was particularly jarring on my hands. For long rides, you could really feel it. I ended up putting bar ends on it, which improved the situation somewhat, and allowed me to shift my hands around. I never paid too much attention to the steel vs. aluminum debate, but this bike put me back in the steel camp. Is there such a thing as low grade "hard" aluminum? Maybe a steel fork or carbon fiber fork could improve the road dampening (?).
Maybe for short around campus rides this bike would be ok.
