Did anyone go to the swap meet in Seattle today? If so what goodies did you come back with?

I didn't go...:( . Mr. East Hill got to work FOUR hours of overtime this morning, and was too pooped to go. I did, however, go for a ride of about 12 miles on the Sachs with no issues :) . I was pleased, very pleased!

I went. I got a Carradice seat bag; lightly used, about 60% less than normal retail. I admired but didn't buy a couple of very nice frames.

Aaron's Bicycle Repair had a good price on some frames not in my size -- several Rivendell Bleriot's; 3 or 4 Herons (they just went out of business) and a nice lugged Kogswell Model P in my size (62 cm).

East Hill - nice job on the Sachs!

Tres cool EH on the ride. My wife and I did about 15 miles today. I took the volare for the first time since I put the new fork on it. That made a big difference in the way it handles, not twitchy now and I really like the feel of the Elkhide bar wrap.

Scott Liteflite traditional bend drop bars 26.0- $5
some nice looking brand new Hutchinson skinwall Kevlar bead road tires - 2 for $30
a minty Salsa quill stem from Bikeworks - $20 I'm sure I'll find a use for it someday :D

I came very close to buying a handlebar bag support from the dude with the amazing French city bike.

Those Herons were a ****ing steal. Good thing they didn't have my size.

I didn't find the 7 speed Shimano road cassette I was looking for. Oh well

Heron went out of business? Huh. I had not heard that...I would have liked to have gone and looked for tyres in the oddball size I need for the Sachs, but I figure I'm good with the ones I've got...for a while, at least.

This was my first time to the swap meet and I was shocked to see how many people were in line when we got there at 8:45.

I got a new Ogio duffle bag for $5, a pair of new adidas cycling shorts for $10, a new helmet for $20 and a pair of new Sidi cycling shoes for $60. I was really excited to find the shoes since that is what I went for, I will definately be back next year!

I was however a little bummed they didnt have more mountain biking things for sale...
