Waterproof pushbutton?

What is everyone using for waterproof pushbuttons for their homebrew light systems?

Looking for both a momentary and on/off switch

Yeah, you can use various industrial switches or you can do it just like this:

I'm using standard small pushbuttons, but I made them waterproof this way. It's two plastic washers that fit together and there's a piece of strong PVC foil (not PE) stuck between them. This assembly of a "drum" is glued around the pushbutton. There is a small hole close to the switch so the air didn't compress when pushing. If I should change the switch (which I hope won't be necessary), I would have to snap this cover off and glue it back again.

Also the foil found in Korrvu® packaging is quite helpful. It's highly resilient at all temperatures and easy to glue together. I don't have a clue what it's made of but it seamed to me like some NASA kind of stuff when I first saw it.

Those lever-type micro switches are better to be placed the way the water could't get straight inside. They are quite durable and work well in outdoor conditions, even the smallest ones.

Found some waterproof boots for switches at digikey.com
Digikey had some LED optics too so I ordered some of those as well. Somehow an order for a couple of waterproof boots turned into a 30 dollar affair, how'd that happen

Not the solution you need but this may be useful to those who need a quick fix. I've used 'plastic cling wrap' to make my computer more waterproof for those long rainy rides (I do centuries). It's not a long term fix.

You can barely see it in this picture but I've used a rocker switch inside a old tube suspended between the top and down tubes (near the head tube)

The one with the red button there is a way to turn that into a momentary switch. I forgot where I read that from. It's either here or on www.candlepowerforums.com -> Bike section.
