Sure, that will give me a little time to run some errands beforehand.

In other news, do you think I should get this design custom made on a bag?

That's a pretty rad design Shiznaz. Looks awesome. Messenger bag?

Edit: I called you oscar, you son said you weren't home..?

Shiznaz
11-05-04, 09:21 PM
yeah, I'm thinking of getting it made by this local company called under the weather. This is their 3rd largest bag, the 2 bigger ones are for real messengers and are a little big for my needs.

edit: well I actually have no idea what size the bag in the picture is, but I would be getting their 3rd largest bag.

Thanks for the offer skyelo, orguasch said he'd let me use his (although I haven't got ahold of him yet). Let us know how the donut ride went, it's absolutely perfect weather outside.

the donut ride was sweeet! It started off slow, but got up to 40ish cruising (and with a strong headwind). I almost got dropped so I took the first turnoff and got a yummy danish at grandma's oven. Then a few of the guys stayed later and I went with them back to Toronto. The whole day I rode 99k (thats what my comp says). But my headset came loose so I need to get it fixed tomorow.

peace

Orguasch, don't bother, these people are clearly screwing around and trolling. Posts have been reported and don't bother replying to any more of them. Find all of their posts and it's the same useless garbage over and over, throw in some AOL'ese for good measure as well.

Both registered in this month wouldn't be surprised if it was some 8 year old on daddys computer. I wouldn't want to ride with people like this anyways. If they do show up, they will be more than welcome to leave the ride.

Oscar that is terrible news, I'm sorry for your loss.

I don't think I'll be able to make it out tomorrow. I've got a ton of work I have to get done for sunday evening so I've got to spend the rest of tonight and tomorrow morning doing it. Then I have to start on another essay.

Have fun, wish I was there!

Hey oscar, how was your ride? Im sorry that I missed you at the bakery, but I hope your ride was good. I was the in the first group to turn off, and we made it to the bakery first... it was fast too (we were going 50kmh on the flat!)

Hey guys what's your take on this description of the donut ride.

"The Donut Ride is an unorganized, uninsured, somewhat lawless group training ride that leaves from the corner of Laird and Eglinton at 9:00 a.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Has a large following and can attract as many as 70 riders on occasion, including some high level local racers. No helmet required, but a thick skin certainly is. Not for the faint of heart. First 30km is not all that fast, but things speed up north of Maple. The group will split at some point so that some can do a longer route."

Does everyone ride superfast or do they break into groups with varying speeds?

If you have to ask don't bother showing up.

skyelo
11-17-04, 07:02 AM
Yeah everybody rides superfast, but some groups are more superfast than others. And then you have to ride back home!

hmmmm... I think were I to tag along in this ride I would need to throw on a bigger chainring. As it is I would have tp be spinning at a steady 142rpm to get up to 50km/hwhich is a little ball numbing if you ask me. with a 48 ring I'd need to push 124rpm and with a 52 I'd need to push 114rpm. God help me if I needed to climb a hill at 52x15...

I've actually been thinking of starting to train so that I can race my fixed gear in a TT in the spring. Heres the link if any of you want to do it as well:

You going to be around tomorrow Shiznaz? I went back to that thrift/pawn shop, they had a practically new norco for $150 (AL wheels, suntour components) and a Trek 2300 (carbon/AL) for $600. The trek looks very very used/banged up. If you have a free time let me know if the norco would be a nice buy.

Fuzz lol, had an in-class essay today and wanted time to memorize on the transit, so I didn't bike today. You busy this weekend?

In other news I put my deposit down for that red bianchi frame, i'll have enough money on Tuesday to go pick it up latest.

Edit: I think that norco road bike would be great for Kelly.

Shiznaz
11-19-04, 03:53 PM

skyelo
11-19-04, 04:11 PM
yo operator, is it only a frame? And what kind?

Shiznaz
11-19-04, 05:25 PM
Its a bianchi (missed the model)... red, fairly plane jane, slightly oversized downtube (most likely AL), vertical dropouts (I think)... Its hard to see in that place... Its for the frame, fork, headset,bb and a funky suspension seatpost. remaining parts would be wheels, drivetrain+shifters, brakes+levers, saddle, stem and bars
