This kind of post tends to get lost in the churn so I thought it might be fun to have a dedicated thread for "saw you on the road/trail" type messages. Not necessarily romantic but hopefully amusing...

I'll start -- Northbound san tomas / northbound Central Expy this morning 2/25 -- You were on a Rock Lobster w/fenders, me on my Jamis tourer. We traded pulls for a few miles and then after Bowers, you dropped me like I was a chubby kid running after the school bus. I made it to palo alto 3 minutes under par-- thanks! Same time tomorrow?

Too funny. I'll have lots of those "you pulled me but then beat me like a red-haired stepchild" once I start riding more.

Well, I met up with my fast friend again yesterday morning. I'm not ashamed to say I transferred my light over to my fast bike in hopes of running into him. It paid off too. I held up my end of the pulls and kept up until we parted ways. My HRM was whining loudly the whole time though, I bet that was amusing. 27mph @ 175 bpm. If I can learn to keep that up without dying I might be a threat someday :)

27mph... That's pretty good. How long were you cruising at that speed?

about 10 miles, from San Tomas / Payne to Central / Commercial Ave
