I was wondering what would you recommend? I park in the inner suburbs and rid bike into the city.

Do you need a towball to get those things where you can hang bikes on the back of sedans?

If this is all you will be using the bike for, go a folder. I had a Dahon which folded up into the boot pretty easily. I got rid of it because most of my riding didn't involve packing the bike and I didn't like the handling quite as much as my hybrid on longer rides (it was fine, but not *quite* as good).

For a hatchback you can get a strap on bike rack, don't know if they work for sedans. You can also use a roof rack fitting. I think tow bar mounted looks easiest, if you have a towbar.

A towbar mounted mac rac and a bike u feel comfortable on would be a good way to go i reckon...u can get the mac rac with the double prong base so u can spring the main rack off .....that way u could leave it on or take it off and stow it in ur cars boot while ur at work.

Just a thought but i wouldnt go for a bike u won't like riding when there is a way of transporting a bike u like to ride and will in the long run be more comfortable which in turn will make u feel better about the ride to work.
