Some of you probably know this already, but Wald 8095 handlebars can dress up/make comfortable many a commuter bike. Check them out! (http://kentuckybicycling.com/02/2008/way-cool-wald-bars/)

Somehow I can't believe Wald is still made in Maysville. My hometown!

"Fortunately for all of us it makes for a less-nerdly picture." That refers to not wearing a helmet while cycling. Who are you calling a nerd?

I think the ones on my bike are similar, but not swept back quite as much. They work for me.

Cool. They look a lot like the Nitto North Roads I got for my wife's hybrid. The straight bars were killing her wrists and they were just the ticket. I like how they look "upside-down". Has that old-timey scorcher look.

I was going to pick up some Soma Sparrows, but I think I'll get these instead for like 1/4th the price!

The new basket on the Wald site (http://www.waldsports.com/index.cfm/wald933meshbasket.html)is made in China. :(

So, does that mean the last USA bike parts manufacturer (of items that don't require taking out a loan) is beginning to move operations?
