I saw its brother on my ride last night. It was laying on the road very quiet and I was amazed that it could make itself about 1/2" thick.

Could be worse - someone could try to take home a jaguar down here.

Years ago I was awakened by our cat who urged me into the living room where a small possum was swinging from the curtains. We had left the door open because it was hot, and we spent 20 minutes chasing that thing around until it left. It wasn't housebroken, either.

That is an opossum, something like a large rat.
We have feral cats here. They like to walk in mud and then walk around on my car.

This has to be a joke, right?
Although years ago, as a kid, I saw one from the back in our garbage can. I did think it was our cat... until it turned around. No, that ain't our kitty

I sometimes wish my wimpy little cat would up and get lost. No such luck so far. I'll keep you posted. bk

Haven't lost a cat, but it does seem to be the season when all the dead skunks come out to sun themselves on the road.

I'm sure some of the folks in the area of my southern-most residence have a recipe or two:D
Could that be an image of DG's new cat's face after living with him for a coupla weeks:D
I think they're creepy when they eat oranges and have a big peel in their mouth like an orange smile.
