I went back and read his April Fools' articles recently. Classic stuff. Best were the early Usenet ones when he suckered some people into thinking he was serious.

he lives on in the frame of my homemade tandem which he 'helped" me make.
This week end he helped me when servicing a SA Three Speed Hub Gear.
It's good to know you can always rely on him.
This week I used his guides on cable routing and indexing adjustment extensively.

I just laced up a Nexus 8-speed premium hub to a Mavic A719 rim for a bike I'm building for my wife. (The parts all came from Harris.) A little Sheldon is in every wheel I build.
April 1, 2008 is going to seem a little flat.
I have subconsciously added a middle name to some of my posts in other forums. Wouldn't feel right doing it in here.
