I really want to meet up with you folks so I'm trying to figure out when and where. I am riding from Benicia, crossing the bridge from Vallejo to Crockett and climbing up Cummings Skyway. If I read the map correctly, the route you are riding climbs up Cummings as well. Maybe I can join you guys at the bottom of the hill or at the peak of Franklin Canyon.

I don't think we're climbing the skyway. It looks like we come through Crocket and stay on San Pablo. That's about 35 miles in, so I'm major guessing we'll roll by around noon. But what do i know....

Maybe someone who will be driving there can give you a ride? (Hint, hint to the others.)

Dang - that's a nice looking ride and on my doorstep. I've spent a lot of quality time with the bears and riding up Tilden. Kiddo duty calls though - maybe one of these days....

OK, I guess I read the map wrong. I'll figure out where to meet up with you somehow. No need to be picked up along the way since I want to ride my bike towards you all.

What: No-drop, social ride :)
Route: Martinez - 3 Bears (http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Pleasant-Hill-3-Bears-ride)
Mileage: 54
Climbing: 4200 ft

I'm not in - I'm already committed to another ride. However, I will see all of you - we're also starting at 9 from the Pleasant Hill BART! We're doing the Morgan Territory/Mt. D loop - it looks like the ride stats will be very close - 51 miles, 4,100 feet of climbing (although I thought it was both longer and harder the last time I did it). Look for the TnT group in the South East corner of the parking lot.

According to Google satellite, the parking lot has spaces north and south of the Bart tracks. Probably would be a good idea to check both sides before commencing to not have a repeat of the ride from a couple weeks back.

How about we meet about near the BART entrance/exit? About close to where the gates are, and not try to hang around near our cars in the lot?

How about on this corner of the lot. Near the street and away from prying eyes.

That would be the south east corner, along Treat BL, right? Works for me!

That doesn't look like it'll be a problem - we've chosen the same corner of the parking lot to meet at!

I'll be doing the loop I posted somewhere in this thread so maybe we'll see you guys somewhere along the loop. I'll be with two other BF members, as well as my wife and 12 year old daughter. We'll be going pretty slow, so I decided not to join your ride this time - not that I can keep up with you guys, anyway. :o

We'll be starting from the Mt. Wanda parking lot area, doing the loop through Pinole/Hercules/Crockett, and returning on Franklin Canyon.

It'll be a gorgeous day for a ride, and we're looking forward to it. If you see a group of three men, a woman, and a young girl on a light blue Battaglin with pink bar tape, that'll be us so be sure to wave!!

I'm looking after my kids all day Saturday. I may be upgrading my eldest daughters 20" bike to a 24". We'll see :)

Looks like the best place for me to meet up with you is on the corner of McEwen and Franklin Canyon. I should be there around noon so I'm hoping our timing is right. See you there!

What a nice day to be out and about!

We parked at Alhambra and hwy 4 at about 9:30-10:00am or so. It was windy, overcast, and kind of cold - but we went anyway. :)

Going up the back side of Pig Farm was a nice warm-up, and the descent was a little tricky with a brisk head/crosswind. We managed to meet up with the other BF group at a donut shop in Pinole, and then split off again to loop through Hercules, Rodeo, and then up and over the Cummings Skyway to Franklin Canyon. While transiting the skyway, we were passed by Curtis about midway up. The descent down Franklin Canyon was a nice, easy cruise, and then we were back to the truck and done. All told, about 27 miles, 2800' of climbing, and about 2-1/2 hours in the saddle.

The wind never really eased up, but the overcast did dissipate and the day warmed up quite acceptably. This was the first real shakedown for my 12 year old daughter's Battaglin (built by "yours truly"), and it performed flawlessly. She is quite thrilled with it. :)

Sorry we missed you! Hope you had a good ride anyway.
