Bicycle Mechanics - Kudos to Park Tools

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

The telescopic tube clamp on my PCS-9 recently cracked, much to my dismay.
Hit up the Park site to inquire about a replacement, sent off the email about availability, cost, etc.
Next afternoon (on a weekend, no less) I get a return email simply asking for my mailing address, and they would send out a replacement.
A few days later, the part arrives in the mail, no charge to me.
That's a quality operation they're running, for sure.

Yes, Park is a quality outfit. I've also had the same type of experiences with Topeak, Ultimate, REI, and probably some more I can't remember. In the long run, I believe it pays.

The head on my crank puller finally stripped out after doing so many vintage cranks with filthy threads. I emailed Park, expecting to have to pay for a replacement. Instead, they did the same thing, simply asking me for my mailing address, and about a week later, I had my puller working again.
I'm not going to hesitate to buy Park tools in the future instead of cheaper equivalents, mainly because of the free replacement policy.

i called them with a laimer issue. I asked them if they sold their tool boxes empty so I could put all of my park tools into it. They told me they do but it's really just a plain plastic tool box with park logos and stickers on it. The told me I could either buy the empty tool box or they would send me an assortment of stickers (free). I took them up on the stickers. Thanks Park Tools.

You know, they could almost pass for Southerners.
Almost...
