Touring - Do the large Surley LHT come with 26" wheels?

I'm seriously looking at the Surley LHT for our next tour, and had decided to go with 700c wheels. However, we are having trouble finding kids' bikes with that size, so I may have to go with 26". I can't find it online, but I seem to recall seeing a chart at the bike store about hte sizes of the LHT - and they had a bunch with 26" and a bunch of 700c. I am 6' tall and need a fairly large bike - does anybody know offhand if Surley makes the larger frame sizes with 26" wheels?

Size 54 and down uses the 26", 56 and up uses the 700C.

The larger sizes come with 700c wheels, but they can still take 26", right? I'd check on that, and as long as that's the case, you may be able to get the stock 700c's swapped out for 26".

No the BB is quite low on the LHT and the brakes would not be in the right spot any longer if you put 26" wheels on a 700c LHT. If 26" wheels are important for a larger rider buy a bike designed to be used with them.

+1. The BB is very low. This makes it feel really stable and carve turns well, but I've had pedal strikes. Sometimes, my toe clips sometimes scrape the ground if i pedal through a corner (which i'm used to doing from riding a fixed gear).

and to elaborate on the brake comment, the canti studs on a 54cm+ LHT would be too high on the fork blades/ seat stays to allow the pads to reach a 26" rim.
